Velvet from Head to Toe for the Holidays

Velvet has been such a huge trend over the last few months but as it's not a very summer friendly cloth, fashionistas all over the world are happy that the colder days are back so they can rock the velvet trend again. I remember wearing velvet a lot on New Year's Eve when I was a child and to me this cloth always gave me an instant festive feeling. That's why I decided to dedicate a whole blog post to velvet clothes and this holiday season I want you to wear it from head to toe to make a fashion statement!

The first look I compiled is a bit rock'n'roll with the fishnet tights and the cool Marina Hoermanseder bag. (Btw if you don't know this Austrian designer yet I highly encourage you to check out her designs!) The key piece of this look is of course the ruffle dress in a flashy petrol colour. To add even more velvet, I combined the dress with these awesome dark blue boots with the cute ornaments.

The second look is really festive and thus perfect for Christmas. It might look like a regular outfit at first, but here we have even three velvet pieces: The off the shoulder top, the plissé skirt and the boots. And to get the full dose of soft materials I added a suede bag. I'll bet your family members will wanna hug you all day long!

Besides fishnet tights, my second favourite thing to combine velvet with are sequins. So for this look I went for a sexy mini sequin dress and an uber girly bow bag. To break with the feminine elements I added a bathrobe style velvet blazer and velvet loafers. With this look you'll confuse everyone on New Year's Eve as you'll incarnate Hugh Hefner and his bunnies at the same time!

Which look would you wear this holiday season? All shown clothes and accessories are available at Peek&Cloppenburg!
