Our Beautiful Wedding Stationery

One of the first things you'll have to choose as a freshly engaged couple is the wedding invitations. If you believe the perfectly styled photos on Pinterest, your whole wedding stationery needs to be the same style and perfectly match the theme of your wedding. And of course you can try to stick to this rule just in order to get a pretty photo of your stationery, which you can then post on Instagram. However believe me when I say that matching stationery is a totally unnecessary stress factor.
It turned out that finding wedding invitations that aren't 08/15 isn't easy and so I quickly gave up the idea of matching them with my wedding theme, which was far from being defined when it was time to send the invitations. We had decided to not send save the dates because a) we didn't have enough budget and b) we were convinced that the people who really wanted to come to our wedding would ask and remember our date soon enough.
I spare you the long and desperate process I went through before deciding that I could definitely not do the invitations myself because of a lack of skills but mostly also a lack of time. Therefor I was more than relieved when I stumbled upon a French website called Faire Part Créatif, which meanwhile changed its name to Cotton Bird. The concept is fairly easy: They offer various collections of different invitations plus everything that goes with them. And when I say everything, I mean everything! When you decide on a set of invitations, you can even get a church booklet and thank you stickers in the same design. So in fact I could have realised my Pinterest dream after all.
After my fiancĂ© and I had decided on the design 'Saint Germain' from the illustrated collection, we personalised our invitations online. The process is quite easy and you even have the possibility to get the layout checked by a professional before they print your invitations.
All in all we were super satisfied with the whole service, which is why we also ordered our menu cards (from the 'Garett' collection) at Cotton Bird, and we will also do another order for our thank you cards soon. If you want to order at Cotton Bird I advise you to sign up to their newsletter or follow them on social media as they have special discounts almost every weekend! And if you need any help you can always contact me.
