Tried and Tested: Bioeffect EGF Serum and Eye Mask

A few months ago, the Luxembourgish beauty salon Institut Françoise introduced the EGF Serum by the Icelandic brand BioEffect. All BioEffect products are based on biotechnology research, so their skin care products are the world's first to contain cellular activators made in plants. EGF stands for epidermal growth factor, which means that the serum is made to increase the production of collagen and elastin within the skin.
From the EGF range I got to try the EGF Serum, the EGF Day Serum, the Daytime cream and the EGF Eye Mask Treatment. Here's my review:

The serum comes in a 15ml bottle which I emptied after around 2 months. I used about 4 drops in the evening, and also 4 drops in the morning once the day serum was empty. The serum feels like a dry oil, even though it ain't an oil. It is easy to apply thanks to the pipette and didn't leave my skin greasy. However it is a bit sticky so I preferred to wash my hands after using it. As I don't have mature skin I can't tell you much about the anti-aging effect (except that the few wrinkles on my forehead didn't disappear), but the serum definitely supported the regeneration of my skin, as pimple marks disappeared more quickly than before I used the serum.

The day serum, which I got in a small sample bottle, has the texture of a gel and comes in a pump bottle. It feels quite fresh on the skin and makes a smooth finish.

The cream, which I also got in a small sample pot, feels extremely soft on the skin. I immediately fell in love with the light and easy to apply texture. It also absorbs and moisturises really effectively.

The eye mask kit contains six hydrogel eye patches and a special eye serum. First you have to apply the serum and then the patches for 15 minutes. There is no amazing wow-effect as a result, but the under eye area gets slightly brighter and smoother after using the mask treatment.

Besides the products I also got a voucher to try the Bioeffect treatment at Institut Françoise. The salon owner Françoise gave me a really warm welcome. During the treatment, the beautician provided me with some infos about the brand and the products. The treatment lastet around one hour. It included a face wash, peeling, serum and face cream from the EGF range. The treatment left my skin feeling softer and visibly regenerated the next day. Also I can definitely recommend the Institut Françoise for a treatment as the salon only works with natural products and a high professionalism.
