The kind of posts I most like to read on other blogs are those about blogger events. That's why I'll try to write more reports about local blogger events myself this year. PR agencies and brands have really been stepping up their event game over the last few years, even here in Luxembourg! The best proof was the Almdudler event last Tuesday. The Almdudler afterwork offered everything you need for a successful blogger event: The trendiest location in town (Paname bar at Place de Paris), flowers, polaroids and letter balloons for decoration, cocktails and fancy appetisers, and the best mixture of fashion and food bloggers from Luxembourg. No need to say that I had a blast with my girls!
Some of you might be asking themselves: 'What the heck is Almdudler?' Well in fact it is a herb lemonade that I know from my time in Germany, but that some of you might have discovered on ski holidays, regarding that it's originally from Austria. The ingredients are natural herbs from the alps, like for example lemon balm, salvia, gentian, elderflower, or coneflower. While that may sound like a really weird drink, it is actually quite refreshing and a nice alternative to the sour Coca-Cola company drinks. It has slightly less sugar, too.
In fact Almudler seems like the perfect drink to create various winter cocktails, and we got to try one of them during the event. As I really liked the drink and as I really like you guys, I'm sharing the recipe with you:
The Almdudler punch:
Mix 1/2 liter Almdudler, 1/2 bottle of champagne, 12,50 cl gin, 25 cl sparkling water and 2 spoons of rosemary syrup.
Add the juice of 1/2 lemon, rosemary twigs, some berries and fresh peppermint leaves.
Who of you knew Almdudler lemonades before? And what's your favourite winter drink?
