Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palette

As you may remember I went to Sephora a few weeks ago to discover some of their novelties (check them out here). Apart from their own Sephora Collection, they obviously also had some awesome new stuff from the world's best known cosmetic brands, among them Urban Decay. Even though it's a really hyped brand, I hadn't tried any UD products so far, so I was really curious to try this lipstick palette.
I think we can all agree that the Urban Decay 'Vice' lipstick palette is packaging goals at its best. (Not sure if that sentence is even grammatically correct but I'm still too distracted by all the shininess of this palette.) First of all you get this great metallic box and then you open it up to a huge mirror and a plastic plate that says 'lipstick is my vice'. Underneath you find the 12 amazing lipstick shades that go from sophisticated nude to dark purple (or to say it in UD words: from 'Vanished' to 'Blackmail'). I don't think the colour selection could have been any better.
But unfortunately we'll also have to talk about the lipstick quality, and that's where the amazement stops. I don't know about the quality of the regular Urban Decay 'Vice' lipsticks, but I really don't like their texture in this palette. Maybe it's because of the hard applicator brush but you seriously have to apply layer after layer to get the desired coverage. Sadly the lipsticks aren't long lasting either and can't compete with most of my regular lipsticks.
Dear friends at Urban Decay, the idea was good but the quality needs improvement!
