Monthly Beauty Tops And Flops

It gets time to review the emptied beauty products of the month. Lately it was all about clear skin so have a look at what worked for me and what didn't:

no bad products this time

FOREVER LIVING Aloe Ever-Schield deodorant stick
I used this deodorant stick after shaving my armpits as it didn't burn on my skin at all. The smell is quite pleasant but the texture was a bit too creamy as it left white traces on my skin.

LA ROCHE-POSAY Serozinc zinc sulfate solution
This spray by La Roche-Posay contains zinc and is meant for greasy and impure skin. I didn't use it really regularly, but just whenever my skin was extremely bad. I think it was good to keep my skin a bit under control, but it's definitely not a magic weapon against impurities.

SEPHORA Green Tea face mask
This mask was in my Mask Party kit that I showed you last month. It is a sheet mask that is supposed to work against impurities and mattify the skin. However I didn't really see an effect. I also don't think that green tea alone suffices to beat impurities, so I would rather use the mask as a prevention on a weekly basis.

LUSH Yummy Mummy body conditioner
This product is still from Lush's mother's day collection and I hadn't used it earlier because I thought that none of these in shower body lotions really work. However I was disabused when first using the Yummy Mummy body conditioner. It is ultra rich in different oils so it does indeed leave the skin moisturised  even after rinsing it with water. Right now I'm using one of Lush's body conditioners from the Christmas collection which is even more amazing when it comes to the smell.

SCHAEBENS Totes Meer Maske (dead sea mask)
I was a bit sceptical about this mask at the beginning as it really burned on my skin when I applied it. However that feeling faded after a few minutes and when I removed the mask after 15 minutes, my pores looked super clean and the other day my impurities had visibly diminished.

BEAUTICOLOGY Gingerbread shower gel
I have already reviewed the Beauticology Hot Chocolate shower gel last year and as you might remember I was overwhelmed by its authentic chocolate smell. The Gingerbread gel smelled a little less intensive but therefor just as authentic of real gingerbread men. Christmas mode on!
