Those of you who are friends with me on Facebook already know that I am currently looking for my first real job. Luckily not all of my applications are being ignored, so I already had the one or other job interview. One of the things about job interviews that is highly discussed, is the outfit you should be wearing. Well now guess that I'm not into blazers at 25°C so I had to ask myself what to wear instead that would make me look qualified and capable. However I am not looking for a job at a bank or at court and I am well aware that wherever I end up I will be having colleagues that wear jeans and t-shirts. That's why I decided to not only adapt to my future workspace but also let some of my personality shine through my outfit, all while still looking civilized and well-mannered. That's why for one of my interviews at a newspaper I combined some black flared pants with my pointed flats for the classy aspect, together with a flower print blouse because have you ever seen me all in black?
I should maybe say that I had tied the blouse more neatly for my interview and only knotted it for the photos later. Also I am not saying that this outfit should be taken as the perfect example for any job interview, but I believe in also showing people who you really are and if someone can't handle a wannabe fashionista with mostly cheerful outfits, then I maybe don't wanna work for them anyway ;)
