I seriously don't think I could have created an outfit around more clothes and accessories that I last wore in my childhood, thus in the 90s. I remember wearing flared jeans, denim jackets and my tattoo choker to primary school almost every day. My school days were also the last time I wore a backpack, which I replaced by handbags as soon as I noticed that was what the cool girls were doing. Even these multicoloured pearl bracelets could be a remnant from my childhood (but they're actually from a recent Tommy Hilfiger collection). So with all this obvious 90s fashion, what else could I have done than adapt my hairdo with some good old braid waves? Is anyone into helping me bring this hairdo back?
The 90s are undoubtedly having a huge comeback in all cultural areas and I'm loving it! As I'm writing this I'm listening to a 'Best 90s Music Mix' on Youtube and my favourite song of the moment is 'All That She Wants' by Ace of Base... And somehow my upcoming trip to the US makes my 90s obsession even worse as to me 90s, denim and American fashion go hand in hand. I also can't wait to go vintage shopping for some retro pins to add to my jacket over there. (US shopping tips are warmly welcome!)
Oh and you certainly all noticed the unusual shooting location and in fact it was my friend Emilie who inspired me with her own canola field shooting. You absolutely have to check out her photos here as they turned out so pretty and summery! I should definitely add this idea to my post about awesome outfit shooting locations to try in summer.
So guys, are you just as much into the 90s as I am or do you have other style inspirations that keep you busy?
