If you follow me on social media you know that I am currently doing an internship at a local lifestyle magazine. And the advantage of being a magazine intern is definitely that you get access to all kinds of awesome events. That's why I had the chance to go to the fashion show of the Luxembourgish clothing brand Vol(t)age yesterday. I've been wanting to cover the brand in my "Fashion Made in Luxembourg" series for a while now, so this event came in handy.Vol(t)age is a brand by two sisters, which has been launched in 2011. It all started with a triangular patchwork scarf and by now the sisters have their own store in Luxembourg city. They don't aim to follow trends but rather create "electric" but timeless styles for the modern woman. The brand name is a wordplay with the French words volage, meaning evolving, and voltage, meaning electric and powerful.
Basically the brand has three main styles. First of all the luxurious scarves, then the cool sweaters with a message, and finally the elegant pieces with lace or lace prints. I am definitely most into the sweaters, as they all have really intelligent messages, which are mostly wordplays with names of famous philosophers, writers or scientists, like for example "Kant do this" or "DARe WIN".
As for the event I was really surprised by the cool location which was decorated with paper dolls and graffitis all over the place. There is seriously nothing better than a fashion show in an old industrial building like this one. From the show I most liked the looks with the beautiful large capes of which the pink one was my absolute favourite!
