In my last post I already told you that I had a crazy busy week and now I can finally tell you more about one of the events that made my week so busy. On Thursday the pr company UPR had invited some Luxembourgish press to a shopping tour around Luxembourg city. This meant shopping with vouchers and discounts, meeting lovely people, being informed about this year's spring/summer collections, and going home with lots of goodies. Curious for more details? Keep reading about the several stops of our shopping tour:
1st stop: COS
Luxembourg finally got a COS last November (stay up to date with all store openings in Luxembourg here) and I have since then been in the store one or two times without buying anything. I guess COS is perfect for people who love simplistic outfits with interesting cuts, and who are willing to spend more money on quality. Even though COS belongs to the same group as H&M, you can't compare both stores at all. COS is much more Scandinavian inspired and the clothes are indeed a way better quality. Even though I left the store without a purchase again, I will consider going back for basics. I also recommend the store if you're currently looking for fancy jewellery, culottes or sporty-sexy underwear.
2nd stop: Scotch & Soda
Even though I knew the brand, I have never entered a Scotch & Soda store before, and I couldn't even tell for how long we've been having one in Luxembourg. It's situated at Rue des Bains and definitely worth a visit as the interior is just lovely. The same goes for the current collection which is full of recent trends like patches (on shoes, bags, jumpers,...) but also full of lovely boho vibes. If you like Isabel Marant (and are still swooning over her collection for H&M) you will surely fall in love with the bags, dresses and skirts at Scotch & Soda! I will go back there asap with the voucher we got.
3rd stop: Hunkemöller
The Dutch lingerie store has been in Luxembourg for many years but the large store in the city centre is quite new, which is why I've not been there before. Even though I didn't find the bra I'd been looking for, I was advised perfectly and also left with two pieces which you can see below.
4th stop: Tommy Hilfiger
Normally Tommy Hilfiger is not really in my budget but I just love their fashion campaigns and will certainly wear more of their clothes when I'm finally earning my own money. The store in Luxembourg is really lovely and I love that they are having old rugs all over the place. Again we got a really generous voucher which I can't wait to redeem. I just wish the assistants at Tommy Hilfiger wouldn't always throw this "You don't belong here" look at me whenever I enter the store.
5th stop: MAC
Another novelty in our tiny country is the MAC cosmetics store. This weekend they were hosting the Flamingo Park event there to celebrate the launch of their eponymous range. That's why they had this cute lady sitting in front of an Alice in Wonderland inspired tea party setting, with whom you could take funny gif pictures. I didn't stay too long because I never shop at MAC and because the store was way too crowded, but to be honest I didn't wanna miss the cute setting. Upon leaving I got another bunch of goodies, all in pink of course.
Huge thanks to the lovely UPR ladies for making this fun event possible and feeding us with some awesome goodies!
