There are women who almost always wear skirts or dresses and who practically live in tights, and then there are women who have denim jeans in every colour and shape. Over the last few years I've definitely turned into a pants girl. I could wear black and white jeans all year long, palazzo pants and culottes are my summer must haves, and skirts make me feel uncomfortable lately. Therefor I am pretty glad that pants and jeans are among the it pieces almost every season, because let's be honest, skinny blue jeans are not the most exciting of all clothes. After the comeback of the flares last year, the wide-legged pants have evolved and a new trend could be seen on international fashion bloggers lately. The new must have pants can either be a wide boot cut or flared and you can both wear them long or at ankle length. The common details however are the cropped and dyed hem and the high waist. You can get your pair at brands such as Citizens of Humanity, Re/Done, or J. Crew (or simply grab some scissors and your old flares and get DIYing).

As you can see the pros combine their statement jeans with blue and black tops and accessories. When it comes to the shoes you have the choice: from flats over booties to sandals - everything works with these pants.
What's your opinion on this new denim trend? Yay or nay?
