In a world where healthy nutrition becomes more and more important, green fashion and organic beauty products are obviously on the rise as well. However the times when you had to go to the wholefood shop to buy organic cosmetics are long over. Nowadays natural cosmetics are just as popular as traditional brands and you can buy them pretty much everywhere. Today I want to introduce you to seven brands which are either entirely organic or which often work with organic ingredients to produce their products.
The Body Shop is a brand that pays close attention to the origin of their used ingredients, so it's no wonder that many of them are organic. Some of my favourite ranges from The Body Shop are their face care range with organic tea tree oil, or their body butters with fair trade oils and cacao butter.
This French brand sells products that follow the traditional Indian Ayurveda medicine. Their face care products are all certified organic cosmetic and definitely worth a try. I most liked their delicious face scrub "Triphala". (Full review of their products here.)
Just like The Body Shop, Rituals also works with several collections of which some are produced with organic ingredients, like for example the "Ritual of Tao" collection with organic white lotus. My favourite Rituals products are certainly their shower foams! By the way, a new Rituals store will open in Luxembourg city, soon! Click here to find out where.
Nonique is a vegan natural cosmetics brand from Germany. I'm currently using their face creams and I'm pretty much in love! Everything smells so good as the creams contain aloe vera, noni, pomegranate, and acai berries - all organic of course! Nonique products are available at the drugstore dm.
Yves Rocher, for those who've never been there, is easily comparable to The Body Shop and Rituals. Again they have several collections a year and also regularly work with organic ingredients. My favourite products from the "Botanical Beauty" brand have got to be their foot care range with organic lavender and their shampoo for brown hair.
I am pretty proud to have been able to add this brand to my list as it is made in Luxembourg! Essential Factory only launched last year and so far they only have three face creams in their range. Therefor they are filled with the goodness of organic ingredients and are also cruelty-free.
My latest and at the same time favourite organic beauty discovery is the French brand Cattier. So far I've only been trying their pink clay mask but oh boy is it good! I can't wait to try their other products, too, as I got them in a set with cleansing milk and an anti-wrinkle treatment. Cattier is an entirely certified organic cosmetics brand.
What are your favourite organic beauty brands or products? Any great discoveries you've made lately?
