When fall was kicking off I knew: No matter what I'll be buying, I'll need a grey knit turtleneck this year! I found this really soft one at my crazy Mango shopping spree and I couldn't be happier about this purchase. As you'll see I had many occasions to wear this turtleneck sweater already. No wonder regarding its versatility! Here are my 3 favourite ways to combine a turtleneck sweater this winter:
Under a Long Vest
A white long vest is probably the most versatile piece of clothing I've bought all year. During summer I loved to wear it with my little navy blue dress from Monoprix, and during the colder months I'm combining it with chunky turtleneck sweaters. A perfect option for anyone who likes to spice up a plain jeans-and-turleneck combo.
Under a Pinafore Dress
The Pinafore dress is yet another really wearable trend of the season. As you might remember I've worn mine with a short-sleeved blouse, too, but the turtleneck combination is surely the better option for colder days. You don't have to go grey on grey though! How about wearing your basic turtleneck sweater with an outstanding denim patchwork pinafore dress like the one I showed you in this post?
With an A-Line Skirt
One great thing about turtlenecks is that they are timeless but can create really different looks, depending on how you combine them. We all know the black Steve Jobs turtleneck-jeans combo which always makes me think of creative minds. However turtlenecks were also huge during the 70s, a look which you can easily recreate by wearing your turtleneck with an A-Line skirt (or flared pants like I did in the first look).
In all these pictures I'm wearing a grey turtleneck from Mango. It has a great length, is super soft, and keeps me warm. Unfortunately it seems to be sold out, but I've listed a few similar ones below:
