Barcelona Day 4&5 and Attractions Guide

Barcelona Sightseeing Guide

Everybody has a different time to say goodbye to one season and welcome the next one. This last Barcelona post will be my goodbye to summer as I have planned many posts around fall trends, fashion and beauty. If however you aren't ready for fall yet or already want to plan a getaway for next summer, you should now watch out and admire the beauty of Barcelona.
On our second last day in this wonderful city, we trudged around all the sights that were left on our to-do list. First off the Park Güell, then the Sagrada Familia, and finally the Magic Fountain. (More info on all of them at the end of the post.)
Our last day was all dedicated to shopping and discovering the variety of unique stores in centre of Barcelona. I was totally amazed by shops selling nothing but one kind of shoes, or shops offering home decoration for every season and occasion, or shops filled with expensive vintage jewellery, or well sorted second hand shops,... and just so much more.

Sightseeing in Barcelona

In every city you have attractions that you like and attractions that aren't your cup of tea. Luckily enough everything we saw in Barcelona was worth the journey there, except maybe the Sagrada Familia, which we didn't see from inside. Here's a list of the attractions we visited and why you should go there as well:

Casa Battló

Passeig de Gràcia, 43
Go there for architectural magic and a great "augmented reality" tour.

Park Güell

Carrer d'Olot
Go there for more Gaudí magic, garden inspiration, a major tile crush and a great view all over Barcelona down to the beach. Just make sure to reserve a ticket one day in advance to be sure to get in.

The Magic Fountain

Plaça de Carles Buïgas
Go there for a magical light and music show that can totally keep up with a firework. Just make sure to double check the operating times and days and be there at least one hour early if you want a good spot to take pictures.

Ciutadella Park

Passeig de Picasso, 21
Go there for an Arc de Triomphe, an alley with palms and pretty light posts, stunning monuments, a lake where you can rent a paddle boat, and much more than words can describe.
