Already back in March I booked this trip to Disneyland for my boyfriend's birthday as he had never been there. For me it was already the third time but I think you should visit such parks more than once because there are attractions for all ages and I certainly saw some things differently than I did 10 years ago. Besides a flood of pictures I also want to share some tips and my favourite attractions with you.
Disneyland consists of 4 different areas: The Disneyland Park, the Walt Disney Studios Park, Disney Village and the different hotel complexes.
We stayed at the Santa Fe hotel which is inspired by the movie "Cars" and which offers free bus rides to the parks.
The Disneyland Park itself consists of 5 different areas which all have a different theme. The prettiest area is surely "Fantasyland" which hosts the Sleeping Beauty Castle, all the princess stories and Alice in Wonderland attractions. My favourite attraction there is Alice's Curious Labyrinth, as you can guess from the many pictures. Apart from that you shouldn't miss the following attractions of the main park: The Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast where you can shoot aliens with laser guns, the Space Mountain rollercoaster which was unfortunately closed this year, a cruise through miniature scenes from fairytales and a cruise with the Thunder Mesa Riverboat.
On our second day we went to the Studios Park, which is all about movie producing and Disney's animated movies like "Finding Nemo", "Toy Story" or "Ratatouille". Here you will find more thrilling attractions like the Rock'n'Roller Coaster or the Tower of Terror, my two favourite fun rides in this park.
Last but not least you will find the Disney Village which is outside the parks and consists of a street filled with shops and known restaurants like Planet Hollywood, which I would definitely recommend as it has the best food choices for reasonable prices. There you will also find the World of Disney souvenir shop, which is huge and even open until 1am.
I guess there's so much more I could say about Disneyland but I don't want this to get too technical so if you're really planning a trip there feel free to contact me via email for every further information.
