Have I ever talked to you about Rituals? It's a beauty shop with the philosophy to turn our daily beauty routines into rituals. Doesn't that sound good and relaxing? In fact I've got to know Rituals in Germany but they opened their first store in Luxembourg some months ago as well. The only reason why I haven't made a post about their great range before, is that my student budget doesn't allow me to buy their products as often as I would like to. However I have really been lusting after one of their scrubs, which I now got together with other products from their summer limited edition...This new range is called Mandi Lulur and has a really enchanting story behind it. The name means "Lulur bath", a beauty ritual which is practised in Indonesia where the princesses take this purifying bath 40 days before their wedding to give them a radiant complexion and embrace their inner beauty. (Anybody getting married soon?) The Rituals range thus comes with Asian ingredients like frangipani, which refreshes the skin, and rice milk, which has nourishing properties.
From this new range I got the two most intriguing products: The shower foam (I'm a big sucker for those!) and the sugar body scrub. The Mandi Lulur Frangipani & Rice Milk Shower Foam costs 8€ and the Mandi Lulur Frangipani & Rice Milk Body Scrub is available for 19,50€.
Apart from their beauty range, Rituals also has some home accessories like tea, towels and everything that smells nice! Therefor the Mandi Lulur edition also contains a scented candle which is available for 17,50€. And you really get something for your money as the candle is huge (290gr) and smells super strong. That's something all Rituals candles have in common so if you're sensitive when it comes to scents you may want to leave out the candle.
Apart from the Mandi Lulur range, Rituals currently also offers the new Tao collection which is based on the equilibrium of yin and yang. The products contain white lotus, mint and yi yi ren, a sort of semen. Here I got to try out the Wu Wei calming bath foam and the Xiu Xi massage oil (both available for 13,50€).
Please tell me if there is a product you want to see reviewed more closely.
