Blogging Class + Christmas Party

chanel bag camera

I feel like I have been talking about Emilie's blogging classes like a hundred times but never actually made a post about them and let you share the experience with me. Now that I already attended the 3rd edition (which was a special Christmas edition as well) I decided that it's time to share with you the pictures and experience I've made.
Emilie Higle is Luxembourg's only professional blogger and she had the great idea to introduce the popular blogging class concept in Luxembourg. The classes take place once a month at the private members club House 17 and the one hour theoretical lesson is always followed by a stay at the bar where the attendants have the possibility to ask more question and get in contact with the guest speakers. This 3rd blogging class, which took place yesterday, was about photography and the guest speaker was the adorable Haleigh Walsworth from the blog Making Magique. She is not only a blogger but also a talented photographer working for brands such as Nina Ricci or Lancôme.
Having attended several photography courses before, I thought the class would be quite technical but Emilie and Haleigh really surprised me with the topics they came up with. We talked a lot about the more abstract parts of photography where it's about telling a story with your pictures and getting across the right emotions. I will definitely look at photography from a different angle from now on and I already noticed that the pictures I took yesterday evening were a bit different from my normal photography style.

After the theoretical part of the class we spend the rest of the evening at the beautiful bar of House 17 where some more surprises were waiting for us (of course we had already gotten our goodie bags with Ladurée macarons and champagne at the beginning of the class). As the class was held in cooperation with Janette magazine, we had two fabulous and delicious Janette strawberry cakes waiting for us. And as soon as everybody had eaten their piece of cake and gotten a free drink, Emilie went over to draw lots for the winners of the most amazing giveaway with goodies sponsored by Smets (a designer bag, high end beauty products and a selfie stick) and Janette (the latest Pochette). Unfortunately I didn't win anything but the evening was a thorough success anyway as I got more confident with my camera, learnt some interesting things which I can apply for my blog and had yet another possibility to spend some time with fellow bloggers.

Huge thanks to Emilie for organizing this one of a kind event in Luxembourg!
