Cooking Made Easy: Guilt-Free Banana Ice Cream

banana ice cream guilt-free healthy low-calorie peanut butter

Do you know when being on a diet sucks most? Right, when everybody else is having a yummy dessert and you can't. However most desserts can easily be made guilt-free, you just need to know how. I have tried it with an apple crumble, muffins (recipe) and cookies (recipe) before. Now it was time to make some healthy and low calorie ice cream for myself. It's not only super easy but you'll probably already have everything you need at home.

Ingredients (serves 1):
1 banana
1 teaspoon of peanut butter
1-3 peanuts (for garnish)

Directions:
1. Cut the banana in small slices and freeze them overnight.
2. Put the frozen slices and the peanut butter in a blender and blend until smooth.
3. Garnish with some chopped peanuts.
4. Serve immediately.

If you ask me bananas and peanut butter are a food combination made in heaven! Also from all ice creams we've made at home I've always liked banana ice cream best. Therefore this just turned into one of my favourite desserts and I will definitely keep on making it after my diet as it's just so simple and you don't need an ice cream maker. The best part: this dessert is just around 150 calories! What do you think? Will you give this treat a try?

P.S.: Why not try this ice cream with about any other fruit?
