This summer me and some other bloggers made it our business to get in contact with all of the bloggers living in the wonderful German city Bonn. After founding a Facebook group for us girls, we already had our 4th blogger meet-up on Tuesday evening. We decided to meet at the newly opened restaurant GinYuu.
The founder was aware of our visit so he gave us a warm welcome and we got both our drinks and desserts for free. As you can see the restaurant, which serves Asian Pacific food, is beautifully decorated with some of the furnishing imported from Asia. If you know Vapiano you will immediately understand the concept of the restaurant: You get a card at the entrance and everything you eat gets saved to the card. Then you choose your meal and drinks and go to the counter or bar where everything is being prepared in front of your eyes. When leaving the restaurant your card gets scanned and you pay for what you ate or drank. When it comes to the food I must say that I was a little sceptic at the beginning because I tend to have my problems with Asian restaurants and also I'm one of those people who don't really like sushi. However I must say that I was totally satisfied with my meal. It tasted really yummy, the price was okay and the serving just right for me. I had the "Gang Panang" which is rice with vegetables in red curry and either chicken, beef or scampi. As you can see in the 4th and 5th picture the rice comes in a separate basket which looks so cool! (I also took a picture of one of the sushi dishes for those of you who actually like it.) I think the choice of dishes is just right featuring appetizers, sushi, soups, salads, noodles, rice, burgers (with an Asian touch) and desserts. As I told you we got the desserts for free and as we were 5 people at the end we got one of each so we could try all of them. All of them were quite yummy and special and I recommend trying the "Chocolate Trifle" which is chocolate mousse with wasabi crumbles and a toffee-brownie bottom. I think I could keep on talking about the food and decoration of this restaurant for ages but this post is getting a bit too long already.
When it comes to the blogger meet-up I must say that all of the girls are really adorable even if I haven't met all of them yet. I really can't wait for our next meeting which will hopefully be really soon.
