Manic(ure) Monday: 3 Halloween Nail Arts

If there is one time in the year where we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously then it's around Halloween (or carnival but that's another story). I think it's a great feast to simply have fun and enjoy childish things such as tons of sweets and jack-o'-lantern grimaces. If you don't need to go to work or any other serious place on thursday, why not indulge your nails in the fun? Here are three manicures that will show everybody that you're ready for a spooky day:

Start off with a nude base for both the mummy and bloody nails. Create a starry sky for the "Cat by Night" nails by using dark blue nail polish and either some glitter top coat or nail art stars.

For the mummy nails continue with white nail polish which you apply in small overlapping layers from both sides of the nail. Take a toothpick to make the bandages look torn.
For the cat use black nail polish and start off painting two triangles with the help of another toothpick. Then connect the two triangles at the bottom to finish the cat's head.
For the bloody nail drip some red nail polish on the middle of your nail and drag a line to the tips (again by using a toothpick). Repeat another 2 or 3 times and connect the lines with a horizontal stroke of the brush.

Drip two black eyes on the mummy nails and two yellow eyes on the cat.

What I used:

Kryséis nude and black nail polish
Kiko 336 Electric Blue
Essie 1 Blanc
L'Oréal 408 Exquisite Scarlet
 Claire's yellow nail polish
stars from this nail art set

If these aren't too childish for you then which nail art do you prefer? For more Halloween manicure inspirations and a better tutorial on how to make the bloody nails check out last year's Halloween manicure special over here.

  17. Die Nägel sind echt der Wahnsinn!! Mir gefällt die Cat by Night am besten. Ich bin kindisch genug für sowas, aber leider nicht begabt genug, dass mir so eine Maniküre gelingen würde.
