We all know that every season brings new "it" items almost every fashion blogger wears. This summer there have been some, too and today I'm mainly gonna talk about the Valentino studded heels, the Zara skort and the football shirts. The reason why I'm talking about these at the end of the summer is because even though they're summer accessories I'm pretty sure that they will outlast this season and thus be seen a lot in autumn and maybe also in winter. Let's take a look at how these items could work on colder days, too:
#1 Valentino Studded Heels
These were THE shoes of the season and everybody who couldn't afford them got a copycat on eBay. Independent of the price these shoes will keep being worn because they are just too awesome and I don't know how about you but I can't see enough of them. Compared to other summer shoes they also have the huge benefit, that they are closed in the front so wearing tights in these won't be a problem. The following look would be a nice idea of how you could combine you studded heels in autumn and in case you haven't got our own pair, make sure to check out the links below.
#2 Zara skorts
The famous Zara skorts were an even bigger hype (probably because they are way more affordable) than the studded heels. You could already buy them in winter/spring but only a few people wore them back then because everybody thought they are summer shorts par excellence. However if you aren´t tired of you pair yet you don't necessarily need to put it away until next year. Again it is something that can easily be worn with tights but I would recommend choosing them in a different colour so the geometrical detail of the skorts won't stand back.
#3 Football Shirts
Another trend of this summer was being sporty with football shirts or track pants. While during the hot days, this is a trend not everybody can wear because the footbaal shirts tend to be really wide and hide all femininity, the colder days allow us to wear the shirts with a blazer and thus get us our curves back. If you manage to find a shirt in a warmer autmn colour and combine it with accessories in that very shade your sporty look will be perfect beyond summer, too!
To get an authentic one ask your friend, boyfriend or brother.
Now that we talked about all these must-haves I should probably add that I don't own any of them. This is not because I'm a rebel trying to boycott the fashion industy or because I don't like these trends (because in fact I do a lot). To be honest I didn't buy the Zara skorts because Zara is not plus size friendly and these shorts definitely aren't either. The real Valentinos were of course beyond my financial possibilities and the reason why I didn't get the cheap eBay ones is because all of these studded heels (be it the real ones or copycats) just don't look really comfortable. When it comes to the last trend I knew I wouldn't wear it a lot and also getting football shirts (which are the only true shirts to represent this look) are kinda hard to find in a country where soccer is the only true sport. I'm definitely not telling you this in order to justify because I think that not following trends doesn't need any apology, but I'm telling you this in order to show you that even though everybody seems to wear the latest "it" items, there's no need for you to buy them as well. I mean if you like the trend and have the money you can do whatever makes you happy but why should you spend tons of money on items you normally wouldn't wear just because as a blogger you feel obligated to do so?
What do you think about the trends, about following trends and about being a fashion blogger without "it" items?
