Manic(ure) Monday: XXL Glitter Dots

It's time for another really girly manicure. I've been wanting to use my golden glitter polish for ages and I found a quite lovely way to do so. Again you will need reinforcement rings for the manicure so make sure to use a base colour that dries very well.

 What I used:
p2 Volume Gloss gel look polish 030 Sweet Darling
Claire's glitter nail polish

Another great idea for using glitter would be to do a reverse French manicure but I didn't really know how to proceed because in my normal way of making a reverse French manicure I would have needed to use the glitter as base polish which would have looked a bit strange because of the salient glitter particles. Any ideas on how to achieve the right effect? (See photo below)

Also feel free to share other glitter manicure ideas with us!

  14. I love this idea, super chic and girlie! Re the reverse French I think you recreate it using those French tip sticker things, just positioned on the cuticle and you would do the gold above the base coat, if that makes any sense!

  15. Yup, this is girly.:) I love the shade!

I've been trying to find a link so I wouldn't have to explain what I mean but I just can't find it. So hope you'll be able to understand my gibberish...:) Why don't you place those reinforcement rings at the base of the nail (at the cuticle) right down the middle of the ring and put glitter in the hole, just like you did with this manicure? Like you did with your left pinkie finger, except you glue the ring even more down on your finger. Am I making any sens??:D

P.S.: My father used to live on a farm when he was a kid and he always made me pet horses and cows and goats so I wouldn't be afraid. He even taught me to grab a cows tongue when it starts licking your hand.:)
