Tried and Tested: Drugstore Products

Lately I got a lot of new beauty products, some I haven't even been able to show you, and it was definitely time for a new "Tried and Tested" post. One part of today's post will be about make-up and the other about face care products. Let's start off with a product you already saw on the blog an were quite interested in:

Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette Review

Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette Review

Catrice Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Name: CATRICE Absolute Nude Eyeshadow Palette 010 All Nude
Price: 4,95€
About: The palette comes with an applicator/brush (but unfortunately the brush loses bristles) and a guide to the perfect nude look. The eyeshadow is nice to apply and doesn't crumble at all. The colours could be a bit more intense but the choice of shades is really nice. The eyeshadow stays in place for several hours.
Conclusion: Nice product I will keep on using and which will help me improve my make-up skills.

Name: CATRICE Camouflage Cream 010 Ivory
Price: 2,95€
About: The concealer comes in several shades and I think I got the lightest one which is still a bit too dark. It covers quite well but doesn't work wonders. I had the feeling that it doesn't last too long but still helped me with my pimples. I really like to use it on the inner corner of my eyes to make them look bigger and brighter.
Conclusion: Great for those days where your skin thinks you're a teenager again but I must admit that I imagined it working even better.

Name: MAYBELLINE Jade Volum' Express Lift-Up Black
Price: 4,45€
About: Mascaras and I are no best friends at all. I have been looking for that perfect mascara for ages and never found it. Lately I read an article about the perfect beauty products and this very mascara seemed to be on the top list of most make-up artists. As it didn't even cost 5€ I thought "why not?". When I tried it I was disappointed as always. It is nice when all you want is to separate your lashes but I want drama and lots of black. I had the feeling that the brush wouldn't dispense enough of the product and the only good thing was the rounded brush (sorry for a picture where you can't see it...) which adds a little bit of swing.
Conclusion: Maybelline mascaras are okay but I will stick to my L'Oréal Million Lashes (even if it's more expensive).

Name: ALVERDE Face Oil Wild Rose Dry Skin
Price: 2,95€
About: Alverde is a German brand for natural cosmetics which I always wanted to try. When I saw that they are having face oil I decided to test it even if I don't really have dry skin. I only use it in the evening and so far I quite like it. It comes with this handy pipette and I don't have the feeling that it makes my skin too greasy.
Conclusion: So far I couldn't see whether it benefits my skin or not but I will definitely keep on using it in the evenings.

Name: ALVERDE Clear Face Fluid Healing Earth Impure Skin
Price: 3,75€
About: As I'm only using the face oil in the evening I needed to have a cream for the day as well and as I have a few problems with pimples lately I thought this was the right product as it says that it is antibacterial and pore refining. I like that it isn't greasy at all and still moisturizes my skin and as I heard a lot of good things about healing earth I'm sure it helps to get me a better skin.
Conclusion: If this little bottle won't get empty too quickly I can indeed imagine rebuying this product.

Name: EBELIN Facial Massage Brush
Price: 1,75€
About: Since I first heard about the Clarisonics I wanted to have one but they are a bit too expensive for me at the moment so I decided to get a simple face brush at the drugstore. I heard that they cost about 3€ and this one was even cheaper. The first time I used it I found it quite stiff but then I tried to get it as wet as possible which made it feel much softer. I use it with a simple cleanser and my skin feels so incredibly soft afterwards. It also stimulates the blood circulation and as you can see on the second pic it takes away all the dirt from my skin.
Conclusion: My favourite product from this post, it is such a pleasure using it and the whole procedure is easier as I thought (no dripping or soiling the bathroom!)

I have a few more products which I want to show you but they will be following in another post later. What do you think about today's products? Have you been trying one of them or want to know more about a particular product? If you have experience with a Clarisonic or something similar I would love for you to tell me a bit about it!
