Ok guys in this outfit post I want to show you several things. First of all there is this lovely Oasap bracelet I got in the Fashion Hunter program. I just realize that I never really spoke about this program so I will do it now for those of you who don't know it yet. It's simply a collaboration that Oasap has with bloggers of all levels and they send you freebies of your choice and all you have to do is show them on your blog. Easy, right? If you are interested don't hesitate to read more of it here.
Two weeks ago H&M offered free shipping for a few days and so I couldn't resist to order something. In fact I had told myself not to order at H&M anymore because their shipping of almost 5€ is simply too expensive but in this case I simply had to get some accessories for fall and these cute Dalmation pants I had tried on at my local H&M (see picture in this post). The pants will only arrive later but here are my fall must haves:
Ooops I did it again... What "it"? Buying new nail polish of course! This time the Manhattan Blogger Edition caught my eye. The Germans among you might already have heard about the collaboration between the two German bloggers Modepilot and Styleproofed and the cosmetic brand Manhattan:
Cleaning your cosmetic brushes from time to time (once a week if you use them often) is really important in order to keep your skin clean when applying make-up. So far I haven't done it often enough but I also didn't have the right soap. Last week I bought this Barbara Hofman soap at my local perfumery Douglas for about 10€. I wasn't too happy about the price but I wasn't sure where to get a cheaper soap, maybe you know good online shops for such things? However even if I haven't been busy at cleaning my brushes until now, I got some tips on how to do it right in a make-up workshop I attended last winter. So here we go:
Last month I was contacted by Sans-online, a lovely online shop selling top brands like Tom Tailor, Esprit, Jack & Jones, Vero Moda, Pieces and co. They offered me a really generous 40€ voucher and it was pretty hard to choose something as their assortment of clothes and accessories is so big. A couple of days ago I received their packet and I can't wait to show you what I picked:
60 years ago Dior presented his "Sinueuse" collection in one of Bonn's most beautiful buildings: La Redoute. To remember this glorious day La Redoute organized an exhibition that shows pictures of Diors creations and the proper restaurant of the house prepared a menu with Chrisitan Diors favourite recipes. Yesterday I went to La Redoute and I brought home some pictures of the exhibition and the beautiful building itself:
Those of your who read this post were probably looking forward to see me with some kind of a blond or at least a brighter brown hair by now. Unfortunately that won't be the case because, smart as I am, I found out that brightening your hair only works with permanent colour and I wasn't ready for this. When I bought the coloration I thought it was one of those that will wash out after some weeks but of course it wasn't. Instead of taking the huge step to get permanent brighter hair, I rather bought the brightest tint I could find for my hair. The difference from my old hair colour to this new one is to some extent none-existent but two of my friends nevertheless saw a little change. But take a look at it yourselves:
In my eyes there are several things that show you that a girl really has style but there is one thing that I have always admired the most: when somebody is able to mix different patterns in their look and still look great! For you I collected some pics of my favourite pattern looks and with them the main tips for a successful pattern mix.
1. Matchy Matchy
The easiest way to wear more patterned pieces is to stay with the same pattern.
This is the second Kiko nail polish I bought in Portugal and again I paired it with the Essie "No Place like Chrome". This time I wanted to try the good old accent manicure. I had been looking for such a lilac, grey, muddy nail polish for ages and now I finally found it! I think it's perfect for autumn, really elegant and yet perfect for everyday life. What is your must have colour for autumn?
While my closet slowly begins to fill with autumn essentials like woolen sweaters and coloured tights, my hair is still in mood for summer. This year I decided to finally dye my hair in a lighter colour and I think it might indeed suit me as my skin is beautifully tanned right now. However I didn't want to go for blond as I'm a convinced brunette and so I chose this dye that will just lighten up my brown hair. The result of my upcoming dyeing adventure should be on the blog within the next days... For now I'll just leave you with some pics of my new ins and of some other clothes I didn't take:
"The style of fashion icon Rachel Bilson, the vision of celebrated stylist Nicole Chavez, and the shoe-making expertise of the legendary Steve Madden, combine to bring you ShoeMint - a shoe shopping experience unlike any other."
Now how does that sound to you? To me it sounds perfect as we all know that Steve Madden's shoes are amazing and furthermore Rachel Bilson is one of my favourite fashion icons ever. Furthermore the service works just like JewelMint, StyleMint and BeautyMint: users will take a survey about their style likes and dislikes, sign up and receive a new pair of shoes every four weeks, for just $80 per month.
Do you remember the "recipe" for the tuna sandwiches I gave you last month? Today I made something else I thought was perfect for the "Cooking made easy" series namely a self-made iced tea. It didn't take much time, is easy as pie and doesn't contain any exotic ingredients you wouldn't even get in your local supermarket. So here we go:
Some weeks ago I bought myself a sewing machine. I never had sewing lessons and so I'm far away from being an expert but with the help of my aunt I quickly found out how to use the machine. When I found this old shirt I thought it was perfect to test my true sewings skills and so I decided to turn it into a crop top. Here is a step by step tutorial:
I was really happy when I saw that there is a Primark in the region of Portugal where I was going. It is situated inside a huge shopping center called Aqua Portimão. There they nearly have every shop known in Europe (H&M, Zara Home, Aldo, Berschka, Sephora, Yamamay, Primark, Bijou Brigitte, Mango, Promod,... are just some of them!)
Guys I'm finally back from Portugal! I had a great time but I'm also glad to be back and I'm really excited about showing you all the pictures I took. The photos with my outfits will follow in another post tomorrow. Enjoy!
