This morning I had just dressed to leave the house when I heard a rustling outside my apartment. I was pretty sure that somebody had laid down a packet in front of my door but the only thing I expected was my Oasap order. That's why I was quite surprised when outside I found a rather big parcel from Mary Kay. I had never been ordering at Mary Kay in my whole life so I was eager to find out why they would send me a box full of amazing products and I hurried up to read the enclosed letter which said that I won the Mary Kay giveaway I had joined back in November at the swapping party in Cologne. I had totally forgotten about that giveaway so getting this 150€ worth present made me feel like it was Christmas and my birthday at the same time. Now you might be wondering what this has got to do with today's post. Well the parcel also included a Mary Kay nail polish in this really particular colour.
I hadn't been trying Mary Kay nail polishes so far so I was curious to see how the quality would be like. I applied one layer which was totally enough. The nail polish also dried quite well and the only disadvantage is the angular brush which makes the application a bit more complicated.
I must admit that I'm not quite sure about what to think of the colour because I used to be a huge fan of this teal colour but I don´t like it on my nails that much. That's why I decided to add some white nail polish:
The easiest way to achieve this effect is by using the point of one of these simple black/brown hairslides.
What I used:
Mary Kay Tempting Teal
Essie 1 Blanc
As a fazit I must say that the quality of the nail polish is quite good but for you I checked the prize and the selection of Mary Kay nail polishes and I must say that both are rather unsatisfactory because one bottle costs 10€ and for the moment you can only choose among 3 colours and a base coat. If you are interested in a review about the other Mary Kay products I got you can check back my blog by the middle of the week. Also tell me what you think of this colour and of Mary Kay nail polishes in general (if you have already been testing them).
