Do you remember the "recipe" for the tuna sandwiches I gave you last month? Today I made something else I thought was perfect for the "Cooking made easy" series namely a self-made iced tea. It didn't take much time, is easy as pie and doesn't contain any exotic ingredients you wouldn't even get in your local supermarket. So here we go:
Ingredients for 1 liter:
2 liters of water
4 bags of green tea
1 and a half tablespoon of honey
1. Bring 1 liter at a time to the boil in two different pots.
2. Put the tea bags for one minute in the first pot and then for 3 minutes in the second pot. Pour away the water from the first pot. (This procedure prevents the tea from being too bitter).
3. Let the tea cool down a bit and then mix in the honey and 2 and a half lemons.
4. Put the iced tea in the fridge for one day (if you like you can add the last half of lemon cut in slices).
5. Serve with ice cubes.
