Tried and Tested: Lush

As you may know I went to the LUSH VIP Breakfast event last week (read the post here) and bought some really nice stuff. By now I had the time to test it all an so I want to share my experiences with you:

1. Tea Tree Water

- nice lemon smell
- awesome cooling effect
- cleans your face without leaving this sensation of tightness in the skin
conclusion: one of my favourite Lush products, stored in the fridge it will be your best friend for summer

2. Coal Face (facial cleanser)

- it has a peeling effect
- you use it like a normal soap
- it stimulates the blood circulation
- you have to get used to the licorice smell
- it purges your pores deep down and makes your skin feel really clean
conclusion: perfect item for combination skin but it has all the disatvantages of a cake of soap: you have to find a bowl to put it in, you can hardly use it under the shower, it's hard to take on holidays,...

3. Full of Grace (face serum)

- makes your skin much softer
- melts quite easily so you really should keep it stored in your fridge
- can be used like a normal cream by just rubbing it trough and in your face
- nourishes your skin but is quite greasy so you should only use it before going to bed
conclusion: again nothing to take on holidays but perfect for skin that needs a recovery or for spa afternoons with friends

4. Whip Stick Lip Balm

- awesome chocolate smell!
- container is quite hard to open
- not as sticky as other lip balms and really nurturing
- when applied in the evening it stays on your lips all night long
conclusion: I love it but I must say that I prefer lip balm sticks

5. Latte Lip Tint

- nice smell
- container is quite hard to open
- discreet but yet quite pretty colour
- lip tint in a box is a baaaad idea...(see picture)
- just the right amount of glitter and an agreeable texture
conclusion: nice idea but I'll stay faithful to the good old lipstick

The Lush Values:

We believe in buying ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals and in testing our products on humans.
We invent our own products and fragrances, we make them fresh by hand using little or no preservative or packaging, using only vegetarian ingredients and tell you when they were made.
We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud.
We believe in long candlelit baths, sharing showers, massage, filling the world with perfume and in the right to make mistakes, lose everything and start again.
We believe our products are good value, that we should make a profit and that the customer is always right.
We also believe words like 'Fresh' and 'Organic' have an honest meaning beyond marketing.

I hope you guys liked my little review. Do you own any Lush products or have you found a favourite among my products? What do you think of the Lush Values?

    Viele Grüße, Katja
