Manic(ure) Monday: Spongy Ombre

In this post I already showed you one possibility to apply the ombre trend to the nails and here is the second method. All you need is:

-white nail polish
-coloured nail polish of your choice
-little sponge

1. Apply a coat of white nail polish

2. Take a little make-up sponge

3. Drop a bit of nail polish on the sponge and dab it on a sheet of paper 1-2 times.

4. Dap the sponge on your nail really softly and then repeat this until you have an ombre effect. Make sure the tips of your nails stay quite bright.

You can use several colours on each nail by applying them in a row to the sponge or your simply use different colours for different nails. When you only use one colour it works best when it´s a quite dark colour. As you can see the effect is much more visible with the dark blue nail polish.

What I used:

1. Manhattan Quick Dry 710 T
2. Essie 1 Blanc
3. Manhattan Quick Dry 73

Which ombre method do you prefer? Have you found a third possibility to make ombre nails?
