Manic(ure) Monday: Reverse French Manicure

As some of you may have noticed I love to paint my nails. I change my nail colour quite often and over the years I collected some tips on how your manicure will last longer. Therefore I decided to make a "Manic(ure) Monday" which means that on Mondays I will either show you my newest nail creations with a tutorial on how to do them or give you other manicure tips. Last week I tried the "Reverse French Manicure" for the first time and I really like the result. Here is an easy tutorial for you:

1. Choose a  base colour. It is important that you apply the base neatly and make sure that it really covers your nail.

2. Use reinforcing rings to cover the space you want to stay the colour of your base coat.

3. Use another colour to paint the rest of the nails.

4. Remove the reinforcing rings right after applying the second colour.

5. I thought this would look good with a matt finish but you can also apply a brilliant finish.

Et voilà, you're done. So this is called "reverse" French Manicure because you don't accentuate the front of the nails but the ends. Therefore this manicure does also look good on short nails but as I said it´s important that you apply the base colour neatly because the focus will lie on it.

Base Colour: KRYSÉIS Nr. 40
Top Colour: BARRY M 304 Mintgreen
Matt Finish: MANHATTAN Pro Mat Top Coat

I can only recommend this to you, it's really easy and looks great.
