Happy New Year

So today is the big day, the end of the year 2011. I hope that it was a good year for all of you and that the new year will even be better. May all your dreams come true and may you have the strenght to hang on your New Year's resolutions. I'm sure that by now you should all have found the perfect outfit for tonight and so there's only one thing left to say: Have fun!

Monthly Must Haves: January

1 Nail Polish - ESSIE 2 LBD - H&M 3 Shoes - DEICHMANN 4 Tights - ASOS 5 Jacket - VERO MODA 6 Bag - H&M 7 Poncho - ZARA

Thanks to my lovely family members I could fill my savings box a bit during the holidays which brings about that I will be able to check off some pieces of my "must have list" during the next weeks. One of my New Year's resolutions is to finally go to Primark again after not having been there for over a year! Now I'll show you some of my "must haves" but unfortunately some of them aren't even in the stores anymore. If you could for example tell me where I can find a bag or a nice LBD like the H&M ones I would be very grateful.

DIY: Marc Jacobs inspired Mouse Flats

Marc Jacobs mouse flats... I've been admiring them for quite a long time when last summer I finally decided to DIY them. As I didn't have a blog back then I didn't see any sense in photographing the several steps that led to the final shoes but as it is a very simple DIY you should be able to understand how I did it without pictures. So here we go:

New Year's Eve

Still looking for the perfect New Year's Eve outfit? How about something like this?

OOTD: Christmas Time

Blouse: H&M
Necklace: H&M
Pants: ZARA

Do you remember the old movies in which the ladies who went on holidays were always travelling with lots of different suitcases? One for their hat, one for their jewelry, one for their make-up,... And do you remember how stylish those ladies where dressed when they went on the plane or when they boarded a ship? Nowadays we only have those ugly plastic suitcases which all look the same and most of the people don't even mind their outfit when they go on holidays. Therefore I searched the internet for some nice holiday attendants:

Tried and Tested: uma cosmetics

Uma cosmetics is a German brand that I had never tried before. Some weeks ago I decided to buy a uma nail polish (because of the nice colour) and a uma nail polish remover (because it said it would leave a coconut scent on your nails). So here is what I think of the two products:

Christmas Parties

The last presents have been bought, the chic dresses and heels have already left the closet, the glitter nail polish has been applied, the cookies are about to cool down and the Christmas lighting is already twinkling... YES IT'S CHRISTMAS! So tell me: how will you spend the holidays? Is anyone of you having a party like the ones in the Tommy Hilfiger or the Tom Tailor advertisements?

New In

As Christmas is very near I've been spending a lot of money on presents but also on things for myself. Furthermore my aunt, my sister and I had our "semestral shopping day" where my aunt buys everything my sister and I could possibly want! I also got my ear pierced at Bijou Brigitte (a friend told me you could do it there) and it only cost as much as the earrings I got pierced so in my case about 8€. I must say that they did a good job and I got no inflammation at all.
So now I show you what I bought myself but there are two things missing (a nail polish and a nail polish remover) which I will show you in my next "Tried and Tested" post.

Bags Bags Bags

Here are some fancy bags I really like, especially the book clutches can be seen so often these times.

Tried and Tested: YSL

Today I decided to write a "Tried and Tested" post in order to tell you what I think about some beauty products I've been using lately. In this post I'll concentrate on three YSL products but I'll try to write other "Tried and Tested" posts regularly from now on. First I'll talk about the YSL mascara i bought myself a month ago, the "Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils: Luxurious Mascara for a False Lash Effect" in black (29,95 €)

New In: Guess who got a new Bag!

My boyfriend already made me a lot of awesome presents (among them a second hand Louis Vuitton bag) but this year he made me a really amazing early Christmas present: a Guess bag of my choice. And I chose the Madelena small box satchel in rose, beige and dark brown. I simply can't stop looking at my beautiful bag and there will be an outfit post with it very soon!

The perfect accessoire for Christmas is... Glitter! This season you can find it everywhere: on clothes, bags, shoes, make-up,... The perfect glitter item in my eyes however, are the Miu Miu glitter heels. Here are some of my other glitter favourites:
